New Line Cinema’s original anime film takes viewers back to the epic world of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, based on the famous books by J.R.R. Tolkien. The movie is set 183 years before the events described in the original trilogy: ‘The War of the Rohirrim’ tells the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan. A sudden attack by Wulf, a cunning and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking revenge for his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient fortress of Hornburg – a mighty stronghold that will later become known as Helm’s Deep. Héra, Helm’s daughter, finds herself in an increasingly desperate situation and must summon the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy bent on her utter destruction.
