‘Huda’s Salon’ is a dark feminist thriller inspired by true events. Reem, a young Palestinian mother in Bethlehem, enters Huda’s hair salon for a brief moment of calm — but the warm, familiar space soon turns into a trap. Huda manipulates her into making impossible choices under the pressure of occupation. The film explores how women’s lives become pieces in a cynical power game and asks: how do you find a way out when every side suppresses you. NB: Followed by a talk by Nada Ringmose and Nina Ninani about Palestinian women, their resilience, and everyday struggles under occupation. They will also discuss how feminist narratives are shaping Palestinian cinema today.
