Kim, a non-binary teen overwhelmed by the noise of social media, is whisked into a dazzling adventure with Jeff, a witty alien dog. With only 24 hours, they journey through magical realms, face dragons and shamans, and uncover healing truths about trauma, nature, and connection-discovering that imagination and play hold the key to freedom & joy. ‘Imagine’ is a ground-breaking, co-created animated feature film blending deep indigenous knowledge with cutting-edge technology and written by 400+ people including indigenous youth, Hollywood celebs, and researchers e.g. Tyson Yunkaporta, and starring Taika Waititi, Ian Thorpe, amongst others.
The film screening will be followed by a conversation about indigenous knowledge with Parul Punjabi Jagdish, AIME (Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience) and Vivi Vold, The Arctic University of Norway. Moderated by Rune Hjarnø.
