Life Is Beautiful is a documentary about art, identity, and courage in a world on pause. Palestinian filmmaker Mohamed Jabaly finds himself stranded in Tromsø, Norway, after Gaza’s borders close in 2014 — not knowing it will take seven years before he can embrace his family again. Despite bureaucratic obstacles and exile, he refuses to give up his voice as a filmmaker and Palestinian. A poetic, moving story about resilience, hope, and the insistence that life can still be beautiful. Followed by a talk by Mustafa Jayousi about trauma and Palestinian trauma from a psychotherapeutic perspective. He will also address how art and storytelling contribute to healing and preserving personal and collective memory. 92 min
