‘Lyd in Exile’ is a sci-fi documentary blending interviews, archives, and animation to tell the story of Lyd (Lod), a 5,000-year-old Palestinian city nearly erased in 1948. The film follows the voices that refuse to forget, reimagining a city free from violence and occupation. It reminds us that stories cannot be erased — only carried forward — and through art, the city speaks again. Followed by a tal by Poya Pakzad and Saer Jaishi about Palestine and its historical development. They will explore the impact of displacement on cultural memory and how storytelling preserves the identity of lost cities.
